Never take too little.

Why the upper limit matters
Most adults over 40 have a recommended intake of 1,000 to 1,200 mg of calcium a day. For adults over 50 the published upper intake level is 2,000 mg from food and supplements combined — the highest average daily amount unlikely to cause problems for most people. Beyond your recommended intake, more calcium brings no further benefit to bone. Vitamin D has an upper limit too, at 4,000 IU a day for adults.
More is not always better.
Just Enough is better.
The trouble is that people take a supplement and eat dairy and drink fortified milk, and almost nobody adds it up. So you can be doing everything right and still land too low — or, without knowing it, too high. That’s the gap this fills, and it’s why the app shows both lines rather than one target.
Why track every day
One day tells you very little. What you eat, drink and supplement changes daily, and estimating it from memory is unreliable.
What matters isn’t whether you hit your target today — it’s whether you’re consistently getting enough without routinely getting too much.
Logging takes seconds. Bones take decades.
Stop guessing. Start knowing.
Know your target range
See your calcium intake against the recommended amount and the upper limit for your age category, based on your doctor’s recommendations or published national guidelines.
Know exactly what you still need
The app shows you how to close the gap, so you always get Just Enough. If you go over your upper limit, it helps you identify what to cut back.
Know how much calcium you’re actually getting
A 1,500 mg calcium carbonate tablet doesn’t contain 1,500 mg of calcium. It provides about 600 mg of elemental calcium. The app does the conversion for you, so you don’t have to do the mental gymnastics.
Know whether the sun will help today
The app calculates the UV Index for your location and skin type to ensure you’re getting meaningful vitamin D production. No guessing based on how sunny it looks.
Know if you’re doing enough of the right activity
Calcium provides the building material. Impact and resistance give your bones the stimulus to stay strong. Make sure you’re doing Just Enough every week.
